New Foods from Carly's Cupboard!

There's excitement in the kitchen AND in the nursery!  More about Carly's Cupboard a bit later in this newsletter. But first...

We're delighted to announce our first Wing & A Prayer "Tea & Scones In the Garden" of the season.  Sunday, June 9 we'll offer refreshments and Amy will be flitting about like a butterfly ready to talk pollinators and sell plants.  I'll offer tea (proper black tea, herb tea tonic, ginger tea, and chai), scones & muffins, and other refreshments to keep you well fortified as you wander through the nursery and stock up.  We'll keep refreshments out until at least 11:30.  The nursery will be open 9:00-3:00.

The plants in Amy's Wing and A Prayer Nursery are bursting with growth now that we've had some sun.  Her lovingly-tended plants are ready to fill our hilltowns landscapes with food and shelter for the butterflies and bees.  Check out the facebook page (nope...it's definitely not Amy doing the facebook page; her colleague Rachel tends to that!).  There are many new varieties this year; here's the 2019 list. Whether or not you buy any plants, Amy will be happy to talk with you about how to make your garden a pollinator haven, answer questions you have, and look at bugs with you!  Stop by and browse; it's worth the trip!

And the Carly's Cupboard update!  Carly finished her intensive work-obligation time for now and is expanding her menu.  Those of you who have ordered and loved Carly's foods these past months will be thrilled; those of you who haven't...take a peek!  Carly Leusner has owned and operated businesses focused on wild foods, herbs, and healing.  She is offering a few nourishing and delicious, nutrient-dense and medicinally potent foods to Alice's Kitchen customersClick here to read more and see the menu.  You can always find the link to the order form in each weekly newsletter (just below the link to Alice's Kitchen toward the bottom of the page).  You order on Carly's order form, she'll send you an order confirmation, you pay her directly, and the foods are available for pick-up here at Alice's Kitchen or for delivery along with your regular delivery.  The selection varies from just a couple of items to a bountiful selection.  The foods are prepared here in our kitchen using the highest quality ingredients and with utmost care and love.  When she makes bone broth, I feel nourished just from absorbing the enticing aroma.  We're so excited to be offering these foods to you.
