Time To Catch Up!

Oh My what a list I've started for the 2-week cycle break.  I think I could keep a dozen people busy all day every day!  Thank goodness for kind friends, hard working woofers, and Amy's and my strong bodies, eager hearts, and willing hands.

This is the last week of this cycle.  After this week, the next menus will be posted on Wednesday, July 3.  The next orders will be due on Thursday/Friday July 4-5.  And the next pick-up/delivery date is Tuesday, July 9.  But we have an abundant menu for you to choose from this week.  Customers love to freeze the burritos, so I chose that as the meat/veg. entree.  You'll find loads of menu items with local veggies and first-of-the-season strawberries.  Looks like I'll be making strawberry jam in the break!  Feel free to order extra foods to get you through our cooking hiatus.

Our Tea & Scones in the Garden was fabulous.  We had many dogs romping, children and babies giggling and entertaining, and plant and pollinator enthusiasts having a lovely time leisurely rambling through the nursery.  The ramblers got down to business and purchased plants for the pollinators in their yards - more well-fed butterflies & bees in the world!  People enjoyed meeting old friends and making new.  And of course, refreshments were enjoyed by all.  We'll have a couple more during the season, so stay tuned.

Once again, thanks to all of you for your interest in and support of what we're doing here.  Much gratitude for reading these newsletters, purchasing food so that I can do what I most love in the world, buying and planting Amy's beautiful pollinator plants, making donations, encouraging us, and being such a sweet presence in our lives.

And a quick reminder about the return of the play "Breastless", written by our dear friend Laurel Turk.  The show will be at the Majestic Theater in Springfield on Saturday/Sunday June 15 & 16.  The play is "one woman's determinedly truthful exploration of body image and sexuality after a double mastectomy.  Intimate monologues are juxtaposed with wry humor, song and dance.  Anyone with a body will find something to relate to in this piece."  This is one of the most moving performances I've ever witnessed and I'm thrilled to have another opportunity to attend.  I can't recommend this play enough.  Call the Majestic at (413) 747-7797 to reserve your tickets.  And spread the word.  You'll want all of your friends and loved ones to see this.

I'll be in touch during the break.  May these days treat you kindly and bring you joy.

Amy's Nursery, Wing & A Prayer Nursery is open for business on Sundays and Mondays, 9-3, or by appointment (call 413-634-5659 or email us).  Here is the current list of plants.  All of Amy's plants have been chosen for their usefulness to bees, butterflies, and other pollinators.  We hope you will stop in for a visit and to chat about how to improve your garden habitat for pollinators.  The bees and butterflies are out and about and magic is afoot!
