While gender equity has improved in recent years, women are still underrepresented in decision-making roles. In a fully inclusive Canadian sport system, women will have equal representation as athletes, coaches, administrators, etc.
The Working Group on Gender Equity in Sport, established by the Honourable Kirsty Duncan, Minister of Science and Sport, wants to identify concrete actions and innovative ways to address these issues. Find out how you can contribute to the next generation of girls and women HERE.
Game Plan and the CAC have partnered to develop a pilot program to help athletes wishing to transition to a coaching career. The program’s aim is to familiarize athletes with the NCCP.
