Winter 2016

Winter weather is here in spades, and many of us are heading into Winter Break. Here's a look at what's going on with CODSN this season!
As we head into the holiday season, there are a myriad of emotions we may experience. Often our families can find the season overwhelming. Check out this article from Babble with some ideas on how to navigate the holiday season.
Rather than host a separate Santa event for families this year, we worked with local Santa events to help make them more welcoming to families and kiddos with diverse needs. We especially recommend seeing Santa at the Deschutes County Fairgrounds or over by Macy's in Bend.

If you would like to share what works for your family when seeing Santa please contact so it can be used for future planning.

Breaking Barriers Call For Presenters!

We are currently seeking individuals to submit proposals for 1 hour, 1.75 hour or 2 hour presentations focusing on supporting individuals experiencing disability. The vision of this conference is to learn how to support individuals experiencing disability across all domains of their life by hearing from self-advocates and others. If you have experience supporting individuals experiencing disability or are a self-advocate, you are encouraged to submit a presentation proposal. All portions of the proposal must be complete to be considered. Preference will be given to proposals that include self-advocates or family members as presenters.

Please submit completed proposal form by January 15
Thanks in part to a grant from the City of Redmond we were able to make some necessary repairs and give a facelift to our Redmond Office! Located at 731 SW Highland Ave, our regular hours are Monday/Wednesday/Friday from 9:30am-11:30am. We will be out of the office Monday Dec 26th and Monday Jan 2nd.
