Fall 2016

It's hard to believe but it's already October! The weather is changing and for many school is in full swing. Here's a look at what's going on with CODSN this season!
Your input is valuable to us and critical so that we can continue to support families in Central Oregon! Please share your perspective about CODSN by taking this 5 minute survey for our contract evaluation by the Oregon Consortium of Family Networks.

Paul's Club
Dads and male caregivers are a very important part of the "family unit" who need time out too! We have designed this time for meeting others, learning, and sharing resources that will help to strengthen your families and the bonds with your children who experience diverse abilities. Paul's Club meets at Abby's Pizza on 3rd St in Bend on the first Thursday of the month at 6pm. Dinner and non-alcoholic beverages are provided free of charge!

Redmond Cross Disability Family Support Group
This group is a collaboration between The Autism Society of Oregon, OFSN@Wyldwoodz and CODSN. It's an opportunity for families of children experiencing diverse abilities to meet for emotional support, sharing, and an occasional speaker. You are not alone, please join us and meet other families walking a similar path! The group meets the second Tuesday of the month at 6pm at The Kaleidoscope Family Center (731 SW Highland Ave) Childcare is available upon request and a light dinner is provided.

Ladies Who Lunch

This is a time for moms and female caregivers to meet and chat. This group meets on the third Thursday of the month at 11:30am at Jackson's Corner East in Bend.

Fred Meyer has rolled out a new program called ClickList at both their Bend and Redmond locations. It's a program where people can place their order online and have it delivered to their car in the store parking lot! We caught up with Michael Ferebee the ClickList manager in Redmond to get more details.

How does it work?
Go online to and create an account. Complete your shopping online and select a pick up time. Arrive at the store within your one hour window and park in the designated spots. Let the store know you have arrived and employees will bring your order to your car.

Is there a fee?
Yes. The first 3 orders are free of charge. After that there is a $4.95 fee per order, regardless of size.

How do I pay?
Employees will process your credit or debit card in person with a handheld device. Debit or credit are currently the only payment methods accepted.

What if I miss my pick up window?
You can call the store directly to let them know and they can hold it for you. They've held onto an order as long as 3 days.

If I miss my window and I don't call, do I still pay the fee?
No. There is no fee if you do not get your order.

How far in advance can I schedule a pick up?
You can choose a pick up time as soon as 7 am the next morning and as far as 7 days out.

Can I have prescriptions delivered to my car?
Not at this time. You can park in ClickList parking and then let them know you have arrived and need to go in to pick up a prescription.

What if the store is out of something I ordered?
During the ordering process you can choose if you will accept substitutions. There is a special instructions section for each item where you can be very specific about what you would like.

What about selecting things like produce?
You can use the special instructions section to specify exactly what you would like. You can be as specific as you need.

What if I get home and something is wrong?
You can call the store directly and they will help you. In Redmond the direct phone number is 541-504-5124. In Bend you can call the store at 541-385-6667 and ask to speak to someone about ClickList.
