HFG Final Report I USAID’s Bureau for Global Health launched HFG in September 2012 to support countries as they worked to build stronger health systems that could deliver the services their citizens needed, when and where they needed them, and at affordable prices. HFG’s strategy was to deliver country-responsive technical assistance and interventions that reduced system bottlenecks in order to increase the use of priority health services. 

The Final Report summarizes the results of more than 500 activities across more than 40 countries, 4 USAID regional bureaus, 8 USAID health teams and the Office of Health Systems. Click below to read more. 

Modeling the Impact of HFG I Working with HFG partner, Avenir Health, HFG conducted a rigorous exercise to estimate the impact of the project’s health systems strengthening activities on its overall goal: the increased use of priority health services. 

This modeling report presents the methodology in addition to the country and activity-specific results. We hope this modeling exercise adds to the global understanding of how the impact of health systems strengthening can be measured.
