Is A Federal Fiscal Control Board the Only Option for Puerto Rico?

The Washington debate about Puerto Rico has been limited to discussions on the establishment of a Fiscal Control Board for Puerto Rico and its responsibilities.

We strongly believe that this is not the only way forward.

The Center for a New Economy, Puerto Rico’s only independent think tank, seeks to enhance the conversation by providing new ideas regarding fiscal discipline.

Join us in a discussion of a Fiscal Responsibility Law for Puerto Rico: how it can address federal concerns about the Commonwealth’s long-term fiscal stability, and provide the basis for a much needed institutional overhaul of Puerto Rico’s fiscal apparatus.
