Apple Forum
Monday, April 18 @ 1:00 PM

The Video Club is happy to announce that the Apple Forum, traditionally offering subjects related to Apple/Mac users, will be discussing "Air drop, screen recording, and camera settings.

Stephanie Brasher will facilitate this forum.  It is free and is open to everyone using an Apple product: iMac, Laptop  iPad, Tablet or Smart Phone.

The Video Lab now has  five (5) MACs and three (3) iPads available for use during this Forum.  If you'd like to use one of these, please come to the Lab a little early. We do, however, encourage you to bring in one of your own Apple devices.  We will meet in-person tomorrow at 1:00 pm. If you have any questions, email us at

Corel VideoStudio Forum
Monday, April 18 @ 10:00 AM via ZOOM

Wolfgang Kutter will facilitate the "Corel VideoStudio Forum" tomorrow, April 18 via Zoom. This Forum welcomes all video editors, beginners and experienced.

This month's topic will cover "Choosing Format, Quality and Destination before rendering a project (Corel's term is SHARE). Again, this is for beginners and experienced editors. It would be great if many of you who are very experienced will participate. It is not an easy subject and help will be appreciated."

In case you have not participated in the past, please contact us via e-mail at so we can send you the link to be part of this event. As usual we will address questions, comments and suggestions of all participants.  This forum will begin at 10:00 am and usually ends by 11:30 am.

The Cinematic Audio Workshop Continues this Wednesday

What's in it for you?

Dr. Tom Nash's new workshop emphasizes field audio recording outside the studio. The 4 week course began last week (April 13, 2022) and will meet each week (no class on May 4) from 10-11:30 am in the Video Studio, between Clubhouse 2 and the pool. It's never too late to join this class. Whatever your goals are, these classes will prove to improve the sound in your own videos.  Learn about audio recording goals, microphone types, digital recording standards, how to avoid audio problems, and more.

While taking the full series was highly recommended, attending any of Tom's class is a definite learning experience. The COST for club members is $5 per session, payable in class (cash or check). Non-members pay an additional $15 for residents and $20 for non-residents, which includes 2022 club membership. To enroll or for more information, contact Dr. Tom Nash,

Open House & Film Premiere!

May 23, 2022

The Video Club is excited to open its doors for an Open House and Film Premiere of "The Hole in One," a 22-minute original drama written by Village resident Douglas F. Sainsbury.  This is the third in the Video Club's Short Dramatic Film series, produced by Video One Productions.  The Film Premiere of "The Hole in One" will be viewed in both the Lab and the Studio at different times during the Open House.

Come and enjoy wine, cheese and snacks while we enjoy the showing of this premiere as well as learn about the many offerings the Video Club has to offer both in the Lab and in the Studio.  There will be interactive demonstrations in the Studio and a chance to see the many upgrades in our Lab.  Join us on May 23 between 1-3 pm as we open our doors to all Village residents and their guests.  We are located between Clubhouse 2 and the pool.
