Videogram ALERT!

July 1, 2021

The Video Club is excited to announce our participation in the Laguna Woods Village 4th of July Golf Cart Parade on Sunday. This is one of the community’s most cherished traditions so we hope you will come out and cheer us on!  What better way to celebrate America’s birthday than to wave the flag and see your friends having a great time? Flying our country’s flag has always been one of many ways for our residents to express their patriotism and appreciation of America.

Many of you will be gathering with family, friends or neighbors in  celebration of America's independence.  As you gather, gather safely and remind yourselves how fortunate we are as we embrace our freedoms in so many ways.  No matter where you are or who you are with, we have the good fortune to live in America the Beautiful!

A switcher is an important component of video production. But what exactly is a camera switcher and what value does it provide to videographers?  Dr. Tom Nash will review the basics of operating the switcher, which camera to choose, how to add titles, graphics or even special effects.

This in-person class is open to members.  Non-members are invited to join the Video Club. Membership for Laguna Woods Village residents is $15 a year for one person, $20 for two at the same address; non-residents are $20 for one person, $30 for two at the same address.

Video Production Class #6 - "Green Screen"
Tuesday, July 20, 2021 @ 10:00 AM

Why do we use a green background?  Because you can film anywhere with a green screen.  Green screen technology is a way in which the studio makes it appear that the performer can be any where in the world. With a green screen and the switcher you  can composite a background by dropping that scene onto the background of your choice.  You can take a photo of a location and an image from a camera and marry them.

Plan to join Dr. Tom Nash, with his expertise, as he covers the many uses of a green screen.

This in-person class is open to members.  Non-members are invited to join the Video Club.. Membership for Laguna Woods Village residents is $15 a year for one person, $20 for two at the same address; non-residents are $20 for one person, $30 for two at the same address.
