Learn Smartphone Video Techniques from Carmen Pacella Tomorrow at General Meeting

Our next General Meeting speaker will be Village resident and iPhone-ographer Carmen Pacella on Thursday, April 20, in the Video Lab. Refreshments and socializing at 6:30 pm, program at 7 pm. Village residents and their guests are invited to attend without charge.
Carmen, who has a long background in graphics, shoots and edits the Chicago Club travel videos seen on Village TV. His talk on “Necessity Is the Mother of Invention: Thinking Outside of the Box!” will include video clips and demonstration of his equipment. "Take Better Video with Your iPhone-iPad" Class to Start April 22

Stephanie Brasher will once again offer her popular two-session class, “Take Better Video with Your iPhone and iPad,” on Saturdays, April 22 and 29, from 1 to 3 pm in the Video Lab.
Class size is limited and pre-registration is required. To enroll, email Stephanie at sjgardiner1@gmail.com. Cost is $10 for members, $25 for non-members (includes 2023 club membership).

Video One Productions to Meet Friday, April 28 Via Zoom
In this free Special Interest Forum, club members build video skills while doing team projects. Meets via Zoom on 2nd and 4th Fridays. To attend a meeting, club members should contact the group's Facilitator, Fred Harshbarger, f.harshbarger@sbcglobal.net.

Learn “Tips to Facilitate Video Editing on the PC” on Saturday, May 6
Our Corel VideoStudio Forum Facilitator Wolfgang Kutter (right) will teach a one-session class on "Tips to Facilitate Video Editing on the PC" on Saturday, May 6 from 10-11:30 am in the Video Lab. If you’re new to video editing (and even new to computers), you will find this course useful to help you get organized prior to beginning editing. Pre-registration is required. To enroll, email Wolfgang at wkutter7@gmail.com. Cost is $5 for members, $20 for non-members (includes 2023 club membership).

Choice Selection of Films to Be Shown Monday, May 8 in Short Film Showcase
Come and spend the afternoon at the Video Club for another great Short Film Showcase! Number 26 in this quarterly series will be screened on Monday, May 8, from 1-3 pm in the Video Lab. We hope this selection of short dramas, comedies, documentaries, and animations will entertain, inspire, and motivate you to create your own videos. Group discussion will follow each film.

This will be the second show curated by our new Short Film Showcase Co-coordinators Bob and Diane Matonti (right).
All films is in the series come from YouTube. A list of past SFS films is available on the club website for you to view and review online by entering the film titles into YouTube "search."
