Due to space limitations, Video Club Globe correspondent Doug Sainsbury had to shorten this info-packed article about the September episode of "Beyond the Gates," but you can read it all here. Don't miss watching this adventure into a nearby place of interest.on Village Television.

Video Club member John Glassco, a Laguna Niguel resident, recently produced a video production highlighting points of interest in the city for the Club’s "Beyond the Gates" segment.

The team filmed a Friday evening “Concert in the Park” at the Crown Valley Park Amphitheater, the new Crown Valley Community Center, the Niguel Botanical Preserve, and the Laguna Niguel Regional Park.

Monty McDivitt, President of the Niguel Botanic Preserve, (seen above left, with show co-host Bill Hemberger) led the team through the Preserve where they encountered butterflies, a rose garden, and a strategic spot offering a spectacular view of the Saddleback Mountains.

Next the team visited the Laguna Niguel Park, which offers many recreational activities including tennis courts, a lake for fishing, and up Kite Hill where drones fly.

On the road again, the team visited the new Crown Valley Community Center where Ron Rivera, Laguna Niguel Parks and Rec Director, led a tour of the outdoor stage where summer concerts are held, tables for picnics, the swimming pool, and rooms where for various classes.

Rounding out the tour was a visit to the Bicco Pizzeria and Wine Bar. Co-Owner Jordan Mullikin explained he and his Co-Owner had recently purchased the restaurant, which specializes in Chicago-Style thin crust pizza as well as pasta dishes.

John Glassco’s team included, Suzanne Savlov, Executive Producer and editor, Jack Crawbuck, Director of Photography and Drone Photography, and Dr. Tom Nash who directed the Community Center and restaurant segments.

Beyond the Gates” is featured on Channel 6, Village Television at 10:00 am  Wednesdays.
