Putting DM Front & Center with the FDA

MDF will host a strategic workshop this fall for professionals from the Food and Drug Administration, academic research institutions and pharmaceutical companies interested in DM therapy development. This regulatory meeting will be the first of its kind for DM, and our objective is to ensure that all stakeholders have the information they need to move the drug review and approval process forward. Updated: The MDF Body Systems Tool

The Body Systems Tool is one of the most popular resources on the MDF website, providing information and quick links to articles, videos and other web content on DM impacts to body symptoms. Further information for professionals is provided in "medical deep dive" sections linked to each system. Due to popular demand, MDF has added new tags for genetics and congenital and juvenile-onset DM! New! Recognition Program for Clinical Coordinators

As part of MDF's 3-year, $5M commitment to accelerating development of therapies for myotonic dystrophy, the Foundation has launched a number of initiatives to build and strengthen research infrastructure.

As part of this work, MDF is excited to announce a new initiative, the Clinical Coordinators Recognition Program at the 2015 MDF Annual Conference. This new initiative will provide education, networking and well-deserved recognition to the coordinators at clinical trial and clinical research network sites who are critical to DM research success. We know that DM patients know better than anyone how important the clinical coordinators are; you'll hear more about this program in the months ahead, as we profile and celebrate their role in Care and a Cure.
