We've been busy developing our solutions further for you. We've already released some minor improvements (for instance in reporting) during June and early July and we're currently developing a widget that you can put your website to publicly communicate the status of your spatial web services. This will be part of the standard functionality of Spatineo Monitor in the future and the release is expected during the fall. For the fall we're also considering to start with REST and CSW support, Spatineo Roadmap 2.0 and a new validator as a part of the INSPIRE MIG work or user management. If you have any wishes or thoughts, please let us know since the development plans for the fall haven't been fixed yet.
The INSPIRE conference in Aalborg two weeks ago was also a major milestone for us. We were there with a big team and with a brand new message and brochures. We were delighted to see many of you there and we had a lot of excellent discussions. We got verification that we're heading in the right direction and also a lot of good new ideas and feedback from you. The presentations and workshops in Aalborg were very interesting and provided insights into INSPIRE and what's going on around Europe. It was clear that currently there's a lot of happening in the Eastern Europe where INSPIRE implementation is actively ongoing. Whereas in Western Europe the focus would seem to be more on the next steps and data harmonisation. We arranged a workshop on the quality of service of spatial web services and had a lot of active discussion during the workshop. In addition we gave two presentations. One was on performance testing of spatial web services and the other one was on organisations' maturity in the utilisation of spatial data. We would like to thank again all delegates and the programme and organisation committees for an excellent conference. Next year the INSPIRE conference will be in Lisbon in Portugal in connection with the Spatial World Forum.
I hope to see you in the future events (see the event listing at the end of the newsletter) and I wish you all a great summer!
