This newsletter will focus on the investing principles utilized by Chad Ekren's team at Capital Concepts Group. It will be available on the 15th of every month and will highlight one of the 4 components of our Successful Investing Solution (SIS).
Our Successful Investing Solution portfolio exemplifies our integrated, holistic approach to investing. It starts with a solid, well diversified Evidence Based Investing base and then adds Rising Income Investments, Good Night's Sleep holdings and some Momentum (high relative strength) stocks. The result is a diversified portfolio that provides the following:
  • ability to grow with the market
  • provide steady income which increases over time to counter inflation
  • a low volatility, fixed income portion to stabilize the portfolio and draw income from during prolonged downturns
  • a portion that should grow faster in rising markets to enhance performance
EVIDENCE BASED INVESTING (EBI)
The EBI approach is investing with the market rather than trying to beat it. With that comes the recognition of market behaviour where short-term volatility is accepted for long-term gains.
