5 Questions for Beginning Again

  1. What are my top five life values and how do my volunteer activities or social commitments align with those? Do they still match?
  2. What committees/volunteer activities or social commitments do I feel I should do that are “duty or shame based?”
  3. What can I do to energize my fall? What do I want to do?
  4. How can I keep health in my life? What day of the week will I create some “me” time?
  5. Who do I need to call or email and say?  “Thanks for thinking of me but I am dedicating my extra time to this____ (project) this year.”

Maarie is Tasting Life Using the Law of Attraction

Maaarie is with her sons William, James in the middle at the Arboretum just outside of Chicago.

Maarie writes, “I knew that the right job at the right place (Eden Prairie so I could help James) was going to come my way soon because I could feel it. Once I wrote it down like you suggested and left it out in the open on the dining room table, things really started to happen…Read more.

September - A Great Time To Begin Again

Yes!! September is here…a new beginning! Sadly, the summer party is over and it’s time to press the reset button. Gary and I agree we had our fun- o- meter on max as we created one of our top summers of our lives, due in part to our sweet brother in law Dave passing away on May 16th at the early age of 60. What a life surprise! Read more.

September is the best time of year to re-evaluate your wants and “shoulds.” And, no better time for DELIBERATE CREATION of what you really want in your life.

Where is Chere savoring life?

Savoring is a quality that happy people naturally have in abundance.

Savoring = to mindfully engage in thoughts or behaviors that heighten the effect of positive events on positive feelings. There are 3 temporal forms of Savoring: (1) Anticipatory (2) In the Moment and (3) Reminiscent. We can savor a positive event before it happens by getting excited in preparation for it, we can savor the positive event as it occurs and we can savor a positive event by remembering it. What are you savoring today?

On September 4, 2014 we wore orange to create awareness for Feeding America For Hunger Action Day. To my delight the employees of Blue Earth County showed up for my presentation Healthy Self: Your Lifestyle Approach to Wellbeing wearing orange! I love this county!

This fall our dinner club celebrated our 20th anniversary. We celebrated with a seriously fun and relaxing  weekend in Stillwater. I highly recommend The Green Room Restaurant and their  Chicken Curry.

If you spend ten hours at the Minnesota State Fair you do everything! I was happy I got to brush up on my CPR skills especially since it is Hands Only CPR and there is no more mouth to mouth.  Yay!

Anyone else buy these Gripstsics™ at their State Fair? The ladies in the audience sold me on them with their glowing testimonials. I am lovin’ them. I think Gary thought I was serious when I said I think we need to buy chips so I can use my Gripstics. Not!! >>
