5 TIPS TO ORGANIZE YOUR MIND

  1. Center yourself every morning.
  2. Speak your truth. You truth sets you free.
  3. Notice abundance and serendipity in your everyday life.
  4. Be content. There will always be someone who has more than you as well as people who have less than you.
  5. Choose to be happy.

IS YOUR KITCHEN STRESSING YOU OUT?

Is cleaning up your kitchen a constant on your to do list?

After a long winter in Minneapolis, spring has finally arrived. The sunshine has me yearning for days kayaking on lakes and spending more time outside. Gary has taught me how precious the 12 weekends are between Memorial Day and Labor Day and I sure don’t want to be inside organizing a cabinet that is bugging me. Do you? Spring is the perfect time to de-clutter your kitchen and create an oasis of relaxing calm in your home. Read More.

My favorite products to clean our kitchen are:

Norwex Dishwashing Liquid - reduces soap by 70%, is phosphate free and biodegradable. And works like a charm on carpet stains with the Enviro Cloth

The loosely woven netted Dish Cloth which is great for scrubbing action and especially great removing the flour and "baking messes" without gumming up your cloth. It dries quickly and doesn’t get smelly and it is inexpensive.

Kitchen cloth made of Norwex Microfiber - perfect for any hard surfaces like kitchen counters, stainless steel, glass, china, marble, and ceramic.

Where is Chere savoring life?

Savoring is a quality that happy people naturally have in abundance.

Savoring = to mindfully engage in thoughts or behaviors that heighten the effect of positive events on positive feelings. There are 3 temporal forms of Savoring: (1) Anticipatory (2) In the Moment and (3) Reminiscent. We can savor a positive event before it happens by getting excited in preparation for it, we can savor the positive event as it occurs and we can savor a positive event by remembering it. What are you savoring today?

We are still over the moon that Danielle and Dave moved back to Minneapolis last summer. We celebrated Easter at home for the fifth time since we moved here 27 years ago. Dave’s sister Paula, brother in law Brent and Lydia and Will made it sweeter!

It felt like we were planning a wedding when I worked with Shannon Muhs RD the program planner for the Nebraska Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics annual conference and Jane Stone who sponsored my talks from Nebraska Pork Producers Association. After delivering a keynote and breakout session I can only say Nebraska dietitians are quiet, respectful, warm and caring. Thank you!

When was the last time you helped surprise someone on their birthday? I think Brenda Vatland was surprised on her 50th birthday by her great husband Dan. Fun for all!

If I would have known how extra glorious it is when your daughter gets married, I hope I would have savored the day even more. We got to savor her wedding one more time, as her wedding was highlighted in Wisconsin Bride Magazine.
