Celebration Concert at Unity

Hi friend!

I hope this week is going well for you. As I write this, the Senate is listening to testimony that is heartbreaking. I am hopeful that this day will turn out to be a turning point for our collective story about how we treat women and how we teach our children to treat each other. I've said it before but like so many women, me too.

I am thinking a lot about Mr. Rogers. Is anyone else wishing he could be alive and up for a Supreme Court nomination? Anyway, on a flight home from a wedding this past Sunday in Salt Lake City, I watched the Mr. Rogers documentary. It was so inspiring and gave me hope that there are more people in the world with his point of view and integrity than we usually get to hear from Nationally. And also, a different story here about what it means to be a man. I already was a Mr.Roger's fan, but I didn't realize the depth of his integrity and love for humanity.

He was teaching us all how to tend and befriend and how to be responsible and loving toward each other. I had tears in my eyes and hope expanded in my heart for our world. We are all kids at heart who want to love and be loved. Oh how complicated even the simple things can get.

I'm writing this note to you, to let you know about a couple shows coming up. I believe in the power of community and the power of music to help us feel connected. It's my hope that my shows offer a space where all of us humans can take a collective breath, laugh together, and maybe cry together a little bit too.

This Sunday Sept. 30th, I am playing a Celebration Concert at Unity Minneapolis.

I'll be performing with a couple very talented musicians. Extra love!! I am so lucky to be collaborating with and playing alongside these fantastic veteran women; Judi Vinar, Lori Dokken, and Rachel Holder Hennig.

The show will be an early one. It's at 5:00 PM.  It will be at Unity Minneapolis – 4000 Golden Valley Road in Minneapolis. The ticket Price is $ 20 – (a portion of the proceeds from this event benefits the Unity Minneapolis Music Department.)

Also, I have another local solo show coming up at The Warming House on Saturday,  Oct. 13th. It's a small room and it fills up fast, so be sure to get your tickets early if you want to come!!

As always, I would love to hear from you so please do drop me a line!! Thank you for your support and presence.

Wishing you much peace, love, and music always,
Ellis
