Eckley Miners' Village

Patch Town Days

Join in the celebration of Eckley Miners' VIllage Museum's 160th year of anthracite coal mining history, preservation and education on Saturday and Sunday, June 21 and 22 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Enjoy ethnic music throughout the weekend performed by The Troubles, Kent Courtney, Dave Matsinko and Henry C. Tamanini and special history performances by the Eckley Players. Young's Funny Farm will be bringing smiles all weekend with their therapy donkeys, serving as a living representation of the past, and angora goats from Holly Road Fiber Farm.

Drink a Yuengling beer in the Biergarten on Saturday and enjoy evening entertainment by The Mud Pond Boys. Additionally, see a Victorian fashion show put on by Queen Victoria's Court on Saturday (the 21st).

If you have an antique car from 1955 or earlier, bring it to the museum on Saturday by 11 a.m. and participate in Eckley's Antique Car and Truck Show for your chance to win a trophy. Prizes will be awarded at 3 p.m. and car owners plus one guest will receive free admission to the event.

The museum's community buildings and houses will be open and staffed with interpreters, and there will be plenty of food and local vendors. So come on out, and celebrate the coal mining heritage of northeastern PA!
