Meet Our PCSOs
Our local Police Community Support Officers Becky Carlisle and Emma Leighton hold regular sessions in the WiSE Owl cafe at the Village Hall for residents. This gives you the opportunity to meet your local PCSO and have an informal chat about any issues or concerns.
At the April Parish Council Meeting Emma asked the Parish Council to remind residents to be extra vigilant in the summer months when open doors and windows lead to an increase in opportunistic burglaries.
Here are the dates for the Wise Owl Cafe Contact point, sessions run from 1 – 2pm
Tuesday 10th May
Tuesday 17th May
Tuesday 7th June

Neighbourhood Plan Update
The Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) has now reached the consultation stage. Each home in Boston Spa will have received a letter giving information about the pre-submission consultation which runs for 6 weeks finishing on 19th June.
The draft NDP can be seen here hard copies are also available to view in the Village Hall committee Room, at the WiSE cafe, in the library or at the rear of St Mary's Church by the entrance.
Comments on the plan can be made online here or in writing by putting comments in the returns box located just inside the door which leads to the committee room. Alternatively you can send comments via our Clerk Val Hunter whose contact details can be seen here
You can find out more by speaking with members of the NDP Steering Group who will be available in Millennium Gardens on 14th May from 10-12noon
A significant amount of time has been spent on the Pre-Submission Draft Plan and its success depends on the residents reading and commenting on the plan. We hope you will make comments and suggestions to help shape the future of our village.
