Agency Nursing and Medical Locums frameworks extended to 31st July
The new Clinical Staffing framework will be live in July and is being designed to enable trusts to adhere to the new rate caps. Close working with Monitor to ensure this framework meets Monitor's requirements has meant that the framework is later than we had hoped. To ensure there are no problems with access to approved frameworks in the meantime, all LPP and CPP staffing frameworks have been extended to the end of July. Legal Services aggregation - 20% savings - don't miss out
The first aggregation exercise for members using LPP's Legal Services framework produced savings of between 20 and 40 per cent, depending on Lot. As a result, we are assessing demand for a second competition - interested members please contact Laura Whitworth by 11th March.
Minor Works Dynamic Purchasing System: 130 suppliers now approved
LPP's second DPS, for Minor Building Works, went live on 4th January. As this is a DPS and not a traditional framework, it has the flexibility to enable suppliers to join the DPS at any time. It covers a very wide range of minor works, from electrical and carpentry to design and build. So far more than 130 suppliers have been approved to supply to the NHS under the DPS.
Meeting your digital strategy obligations: new Clinical & Digital Information Systems framework
LPP's new framework for Clinical and Digital Information Systems will provide the NHS and other health and social care providers with access to the innovative digital solutions they need to meet the government's digital strategy. The strategy, laid out in Personalised Health and Care 2020, demands access to electronic patient records across the variety of health and social care settings. 

ITT documents will be released early this month with a view to the framework being live late summer 2016.  
Managed Document Services: free audit and free access to 40% savings
Under Lot 5 of LPP's Managed Document Services framework, all public sector organisations can access a free audit of their current managed print services. More than 20 organisations are currently procuring under the MDS framework (a mix of acute, mental health, local authority and other government departments), and are consistently seeing savings delivered of more than 40 per cent.  
The framework Lots offer comprehensive coverage of services: 
•    Lot 1– Supply, Maintenance, Consumables and Print Audit 
•    Lot 2 – Hybrid Mail (Outgoing) 
•    Lot 3 – External Print (Third Party) 
•    Lot 4 – Electronic Document Record Management System Platform (EDRMS) 
•    Lot 5 – Managed Print Services

Launch of the Procurement Skills Development Network

A new skills development network for NHS procurement professionals is being launched with funding from the DH. It is designed to:
- Raise commercial capability and acumen
- Move away from silo working through the development of cross-organisational and cross-regional working.

PFI work shortlisted for GO Award 2016

LPP provided advice to Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust in support of a PFI Soft FM benchmarking exercise - and saved £4.81m. We'll find out if LPP and D&G are successful in the GO Awards on 8th March.
