Orthopaedic Hips and Knees framework extended ahead of new Total Orthopaedics Solution
The framework agreement for the Provision of Orthopaedic Hips and Knees (Primary and Revision) and Extremities Implants, Products and Services (Contract Reference No:  EOC17472) has been extended until 30th June 2015 while member trusts migrate to the new Total Orthopaedics Solution framework. New: Building & Engineering Maintenance Services framework agreement
A new Building & Engineering Maintenance Services framework agreement went live on 1st April, designed to provide a flexible solution, enabling users to choose either a Fully Managed Building Engineering Maintenance Service under Lot 1, or specific individual maintenance services under Lots 2 -14. Enteral Feeds procurement: scoping event 27th April
Following a number of enquiries about Enteral Feeds, LPP will be undertaking a new procurement for the provision of Enteral Feeds. Details are being finalised but this is likely to include adult and paediatric Enteral Feeds, enteral feeding pumps, associated consumables, a Home Delivery Service and related support services. There will be a meeting to explore trusts' and CCGs' requirements on 27th April. More information on the LPP website - to attend the meeting please contact Jeanetta Nelson at LPP.
Expressions of interest in Legal, Interpretation and OH frameworks please
The Legal Services and Interpretation frameworks are due to expire at the end of August 2015. LPP will be scoping demand for their replacements. In addition, LPP is also scoping an Occupational Health framework. To express interest in the development of one or all of these please contact Laura Whitworth as soon as possible.
Hub collaboration makes the Procurement Leaders finals
As you know we are working closely with the other NHS procurement hubs under the banner of the NHS Collaborative Procurement Partnership. Our work on the National Collaborative Framework for the supply of Nursing and Nursing related staff is shortlisted for the Public Sector Award in the Procurement Leaders Awards 2015.

Medical Locums pilot: information


LPP is piloting a system to demonstrate that the NHS can manage the use of medical locums who are also substantive NHS employees without the need for external agencies. Members who are logged in to the LPP website can read more about the pilot and how to get involved here.

Minor Works framework planned


This is the next big Estates project. Any members who wish to be involved in the development of a framework at an early stage should contact Steve Clarke.

LPP is recruiting

Marc Osborne, our Senior Workstream Lead for Medical, Surgical and Supply Chain, will be retiring at the end of August, and recruitment has now opened for his replacement. Information is available here and the deadline for receipt of applications is 24th April.

Procure 4 Health launched

Procure4Health will take place on 9th July in Birmingham, and is a one-day event focused on delivering learning and engagement opportunities for anyone involved in procurement within the NHS. Key features include dedicated Buyer Skills development training, eProcurement training and best practice zones. More information on the LPP website.
