Scoping for a new Training framework - please tell us what you need
The Estates, Facilities and Professional Services team has been asked by members to build a new framework agreement for the provision of non-clinical training courses (including mandatory training) - to get the process started please tell us about your current use of training providers in this short seven-question survey. 
Patient Transport Services: the good, the bad, the ugly
A patient’s first experience of a hospital or clinic visit is often the transport provider who picks them up and takes them to their appointment. This element of the care package is increasingly being contracted out by the NHS to the private sector and has not been strongly regulated in terms of the quality of the service the patient can expect to receive. 
To address the issues around NEPTS, LPP is looking to hold a meeting with all members to understand how improvements in the service can be made, and what the future of patient transport should look like. If you would like to be involved in this meeting please contact Edward.james@lpp.nhs.uk
PFI Advisory Framework  is now live
The service allows NHS organisations to engage LPP, working in partnership with external PFI specialists, to look hard at their existing operational PFI contracts, and to institute measures to drive efficiencies and make savings in PFI contracts in line with the latest HM Treasury guidance. Be prepared: water deregulation May 2017
LPP members spend around £10m per annum on water. LPP is working collaboratively with CCS to bring to market an EU-compliant procurement framework. This should be a fantastic opportunity to deliver optimal savings if we can arrange for as many organisations as possible to go to market with a committed demand and to identify a programme for water reduction measures. Please contact Edward James to express interest in this work. The presentations from the Forum meeting held on 4th May are now available from the LPP website.
Launch of the Procurement Skills Development Network website
A new skills development network for NHS procurement professionals of any discipline has been launched. The website and network include courses and events, online learning, coaching and mentoring, NHS Standards of Procurement (Accreditation), a library and other resources.

Healthcare Estates and Facilities legal update - free session for LPP on Wednesday

Trowers and Hamlin are running a free legal update session for LPP members, at their offices on Wednesday 8th June. The session will cover:

Commercial property and property litigation;
Health and safety;
Construction Law;
Employment Law.
