LVF Follow your Dreams Seminar
Six hundred seventy (670) Grades 9 and 10 students of Victorino Mapa High School attended LVF’s Follow Your Dreams seminar workshop on January 13th.  Thirty (30) youth leader advocates, four (4) staff and two (2) Sisters facilitated the day’s sessions.  The students shared that to achieve their goals they should focus to their hearts’ desire and not lose the fire burning in them. They should persist and persevere  to achieve their dreams.
Laura Vicuña’s Feast Day
@ PH Sta. Mesa
Two hundred (200) children, mothers, staff and Sisters gathered together as the Provincial House Educating Community to celebrate Laura Vicuña’s Feast Day on January 22, 2017 at the PH grounds, Sta. Mesa.  They started the celebration with a Holy Mass at the Don Bosco Chapel.  The PH Vicunian girls beautifully choreographed the Gloria in the Mass.  This was followed by some games, raffle draw, prayer service  and Agape which made the day fun and memorable. Sr. Marivic’s good day emphasized the three (3) virtues of Laura Vicuña:  love, purity and sacrifice which are to be emulated by  members all the Educating Community. 
@ LVC-Cubao
Ninety (90) children and mothers from the 3 Child Protection Clinic (CPC) areas went to the Laura Vicuña Building to celebrate Laura Vicuña’s feast day.  Sr. Aleth narrated the story of Blessed Laura Vicuña followed by the Doxology of LVC girls.  A stage play regarding Laura’s life was also dramatized by the girls which gave more meaning to the celebration. Games and Agape followed to the delight of those present. 
Positive Discipline Seminar
Fifty (50) mothers and one hundred (100) children were the recipients of LVF’s positive discipline session conducted at Barangay Laram, San Pedro, Laguna through the invitation of Mrs. Dhildhak Bandalan in celebration of her 10 years apostolate in feeding children known as “Isang Bata, Isang Tasa”.
National Child Labor Committee Planning Session @ LVF 
On the feast of Don Bosco on January 31st, the National Child Labor Committee (NCLC)-Knowledge Management Sub-Committee Planning Session was held at the Laura Vicuña Center in Quezon City. There were twenty-two (22) participants from government, Non-government Organizations, Labor Organizations.  Attendees of the multi-sectoral network planning of the National  Child Labor Committee are the Department of Labor and Employment, Federation of Free Workers, International Labour Organization, Philippine Information Agency, Department of Social Welfare and Development, Department of the Interior and Local Government, Department of Education, Department of Justice, Council for the Welfare of Children, Trade Union Congress of the Philippines, Educational Research and Development Assistance Foundation, National Council for Children’s Television, World Vision, Occupational Safety and Health, Sugar Industry Foundation, Inc.,  National Youth Commision and Laura Vicuna Foundation. They thanked Sr.Marivic and Sr. Aleth for hosting the national network planning session.  At the end, a tour was done so that the participants can see the new LVF six-storey building.
