October 2015 Newsletter

Hello CAUL/CBUA Community,

They say time flies when you're having fun. Well, September must have been a blast! It seems that only yesterday we were enjoying outdoor lunches and walking through deserted stacks. Now the students have returned and libraries are buzzing with activity. The Council of Atlantic University Libraries / Conseil des bibliothèques universitaires de l’Atlantique has been just as busy this fall, with many updates to share.

DIGITAL LICENSING

A big thanks to the collections teams for providing feedback and recommendations on certain large subscription renewals this past summer and early fall.

There are still several subscriptions up for renewal in 2015. In the upcoming weeks, members can expect to receive offers for e-Duke Journals, GeoScienceWorld, Canada Info Desk, HRAF databases, ProQuest Historical Newspapers,  LexisNexis products, and NFB Campus.
An agreement for EBSCO eBook Collections, both Academic and Community College, has been finalized. The details were distributed via the CAUL/CBUA Collections List. Prorated pricing is available for late joiners.
