Welcome to our 2016-17 Season

Thank you to everyone who signed up for our supporters' mailing list since the last newsletter in May.  Here's the first Waverley Singers newsletter of the new season.  Our brochure can be downloaded by clicking the thumbnail picture on the right.  We’ll be performing some tremendous music and hope that you can support our four concerts.

We also have a ‘Come and Sing’ event on Saturday 18th February 2017, at St Thomas on the Bourne, Farnham, when we’ll be tackling Handel’s Israel in Egypt – “a really good sing”, according to one of the basses. This is a great opportunity for singers who haven't the time to attend regular practice, to enjoy the fun of a rehearsal and final 'performance' sing-through all in one day.

As each date nears, more details of events will be published on our web site, and in our occasional e-mail newsletters to supporters.

Last season - charity results

Once again, in its 2015-16 season, the Waverley Singers presented an exciting and varied programme. We hope that you were able to come to at least one of our concerts, and enjoyed those that you attended. Our Director of Music, Richard Pearce, brought us a wide range of genres and styles, from the genius of Bach, the classical brilliance of Haydn, moving and beautiful pieces by Ireland, Elgar, Vaughan Williams, Harris, Britten’s Ceremony of Carols, to the glorious deep harmonies of Kedrov’s Otche Nash and the delights of Harvey and Walton.

The Waverley Singers invite local charities to collect at concerts. In 2015-16, our singers, patrons, supporters and guests gave the tremendous total of £2,608. Thank you for supporting our nominated charities; if you would like to learn more about those chosen for last and this season, there are links on the charity page of our web site.

A great deal of work was done during the spring and summer to update our web site,  This will let us publish more content for supporters and members, including an archive of these newsletters.

We also produced a new sign-up page for this mailing list;  it's now on Please share it with your family and friends including social media contacts - we'd love them to hear about our music.
