Uncovering utilities!

Plaque d'égout - Tapa de registro - люк - Schachtdeckel - マンホールの蓋 - Putdeksel -  manholecover - riooldeksel

GWOPA has launched a global call to utilities and the general public to share pictures of utility hole covers in their regions. The best entries will be collected and shown at the GWOPA stand during the World Water Forum that will take place in Korea this April.

Utility hole covers are the most publicly recognizable icon for water and sanitation operators yet few people know what the work entailed in providing these most basic services to their populations. Aging infrastructure, climate change, rapid urbanization are only some of the challenges operators face all over the world. By helping them address these challenges through WOPs, they are more likely to provide secure, reliable and sustainable water and sanitation services.
