CHS-MC Member Patient Satisfaction Survey

Deadline is November 30th

The Chapter is inviting you, as a client of the Manitoba Bleeding Disorders Program (the Program), to participate in a survey. Patient Survey
The Manitoba Bleeding Disorders Program was formally established as a provincial program in 2006 to provide quality comprehensive care to people diagnosed with congenital bleeding disorders. The Program consists of hematologists, nurses, physiotherapists and a social worker for both adults and children. The objective of this survey is to understand patients' experiences with the care and support they receive from the Program.
For the first time, we are inviting (female) carriers of bleeding disorders, symptomatic and non-symptomatic, to participate. If you are both a carrier AND a parent of a minor child with a bleeding disorder, you can complete this survey TWICE- once as a parent and once as a carrier.
If you require a printed copy or a second printed copy of the survey, please email or call 204.775.8625 and we will gladly mail it to you!

Today is GivingTuesday!

Imagine a day dedicated to giving back…around the world, across Canada and in your own community! Just as Black Friday kicks off the holiday shopping season, followed by Cyber Monday, GivingTuesday is the opening day of the giving season.

GivingTuesday is November 27th in 2018 and the members of the Canadian Hemophilia Society, Manitoba Chapter encourage you to think about giving back to a charity close to your own heart. Participating in GivingTuesday is not only about asking for your donation. It is also about encouraging people to consider volunteering. It’s an opportunity for charities to thank their volunteers and their donors for their gifts of time, talent and monetary donations.

2018 Grey Cup Pool!

Thank you to Bruce Cameron, Tony Tavares and Wayne Wolanski for organizing the 2018 Grey Cup Pool fundraiser. Thank you to Bruce and Katherine Cameron, Linda Laxdal, Wayne Wolanski and Peter Czehryn for volunteering work at tables to sell to the public. Wayne and Bruce started the season with a table at the September golf tournament!
We are so fortunate to have a HUGE group of volunteers who make the Grey Cup Pool fundraiser a success. It is through their efforts we continue to provide parking reimbursement at the hospital, product delivery service, rural transportation and accommodation allowance and more!

2019 Gala Prizes

The 2019 Gala Committee is hard at work planning the 2019 event. March 2nd is not that far away. This event is the Chapter’s major fund raiser of the year and the success of the evening is very important to all of us on the prize committee. As we work towards having the most amazing selection of prizes for our guests we wondered if Chapter Members might be able to help out.

The prizes have been very successful in generating tens of thousands of dollars over the years. It is always due to the thoughtfulness and generosity of our “Friends of the Chapter”. We hope that this year might include group prizes from families or workplaces.  In the past, the Czehryn/Côté family gathered a huge basket of coffee, tea and chocolates from their families at their Christmas party valued at $500. What an awesome idea to share the cost of Gala prize and help out with our fundraiser.

Group prizes of coffees/teas, sporting event tickets, entertainment gift certificates, beauty products for both gals and guys are just suggestions. Please know that all gala donations are appreciated at any level, but if the donation is valued at $500 it becomes a stand-alone prize.

Dates to Watch!
