CHS Virtual Family Camp

This is a great chance to have some extra summer fun with the inherited bleeding disorders community across Canada! Register your family at

2020 Golf Tournament Cancelled

The 2020 Golf Tournament scheduled for September 1st has been cancelled.

Bridges Golf Course has done a wonderful job of making their facility safe for their guests. Golfing is one of the sporting activities that can be done safely and we encourage our members and supporters to continue to be physically active and enjoy the outdoors!

It takes a great deal of donated prizes and sponsorships to hold a successful tournament. This is a difficult year to be asking businesses and our members for donations. We hope to see you in 2021!

WFH Virtual Summit

Last week, the World Federation of Hemophilia hosted the first WFH Virtual Summit. This was a truly spectacular meeting of the bleeding disorders community where people from all over the world could join from the comfort of their own home.

Miss it or want to tune into a session again? If you would like to check out some of the sessions, visit here:

Do you have some questions about the presentations? Chapter President, Milena Pirnat is preparing a list of questions for an upcoming education event. Send your questions to

Thank you to all the amazing people who chose CHS-MC as their charity of choice for the virtual event this year! Runners still have until midnight June 30th to register their results. Thank you to Jason Oltrop for bringing this opportunity to the Chapter.

Short Term Wheelchair Rentals & Crutches

There are times when a member needs a wheelchair to help get around while recovering from a bleeding episode or a surgery. This can be very helpful in allowing a child to attend school. The Chapter will reimburse a rental of one to two months. If you need a wheelchair long-term, contact the Manitoba Bleeding Disorders Program about the long-term borrowing program from the Society for Manitobans with Disabilities.

The purchase of crutches can also be reimbursed through the Member Services program. To apply download a Request for Reimbursement Form. If you have any questions about any of CHS-MC Member Services, please contact the Chapter office at . We would be happy to help you!

Government of Manitoba Employees All Charities Campaign

Thank you to our very generous friends who made employee directed donations to the Chapter through the 2019 Government of Manitoba All Charities Campaign.

The employees of the Government of Manitoba and affiliated employee groups made donations amounting to $1,460,445.95 that serve more than 1,300 charities within Manitoba and across Canada. Impressive!

Thank you Chapter Update Sponsors!
