Tell Our Story - January 15 Deadline Approaching!

The CHS wants to be able to tell our story, the whole story, to our members, so that they can be involved and support the organization into the future. The Chapter Relations Committee has developed this short survey to collect your experience with the CHS, your needs and your expectations of the CHS. This survey is very important, and your assistance will be crucial for the creation of a successful, inspiring, positive document which will best reflect what the organization brings to those it serves.

Re-gifting is socially acceptable!

Has Santa, or family and friends been extremely generous to you over the holidays? Are you are okay about sharing and passing a gift on? Have you been lucky recently and won a social prize but don’t need it? Re-gifting is okay with us at CHS-MC because we are always looking for prizes for #HMBGala2018.
Can you help with a prize? We are looking for gift cards, gift baskets, sports or entertainment tickets and more.
No worries if you don’t have a receipt. We can look up the retail price to issue you a tax receipt. If you have something and are unsure, please call us at 204.775.8625.

Sports Bursary Funding Available

The Sports Bursary program is a CHS-MC funded program to promote a healthy lifestyle for children and youth with bleeding disorders through safe physical activities. Chapter youth, 17 years or younger, with a moderate or severe bleeding disorder qualify to apply. Hot/Cold Packs Restocked at the Office!

Chapter member Sandra Penner makes these great rice bags! Heated in the microwave, the moist heat is perfect for coaxing veins to be more cooperative. Or, keep it in the freezer for those injuries that need icing. These bags don't get too cold! The rice bags are covered in removable flannel so they are soft against the skin and the covers can be washed.
Sandra makes them in a variety of shapes: small and large rectangle and in the shape of a little bunny! The flannel coverings come in designs perfect for children or a little more reserved for adults.
