Keep kids with severe food allergies safe wherever they learn & grow
Just Released - Our First ASK Video
Dear Friends and Supporters,

As we reflect on 2015 and all that Allergy Safe Kids has accomplished, I am humbled by the support of every person who is committed to ASK’s mission. You have made it possible for us to continue our efforts to keep children with severe food allergies safe wherever they learn and grow, and we are deeply grateful for your dedication.

I’m proud to share the very first ASK video that beautifully captures who we are and our mission. Highlighting voices from you, our ASK community, as well as some of your precious children with food allergies, the stories truly hit home for so many parents. Thank you to everyone who took the time to contribute to this powerful video. Please watch here:

As our video shows, ASK is making a difference in classrooms across Colorado. Shira Shump, dean of the lower school division at Denver Jewish Day School agrees:

“The ASK training has impacted our staff in numerous ways,” said Shump. “One recent experience stands out. As part of our Sukkot (Jewish holiday) programming, there was one station where children could build their own Sukkahs (huts) out of food items. The staff was well aware of which students have identified allergies and came up with a creative and non-exclusive way to involve these students in the activity. The students with allergies were named as the "judges" and gave the final word on which group they thought made the most creative sukkah. Because our staff has been trained by ASK to be more aware of and sensitive to these issues, the activity was done in an allergy safe and inclusive manner. A great time was had by all.”

As you know, we are only able to continue important work like this with the generous support of people like you. No gift is too small, and your contribution will directly impact our efforts to keep children with life-threatening food allergies safe. The children in our video and thousands of others just like them are counting on you. And there is no time like the present...today is Giving Tuesday, after all! Please use the link below to make your tax-deductible donation to ASK.

Again, thank you for your ongoing commitment to our mission! We wish you and your family a safe, healthy and happy holiday season.

Warmly,
