 Hello Pastors and Partners,

First Outdoor Concert Crusade 2014!

Faith Family Christian Church (FFC), has had annual, outreach concerts in our church building in Kwun Tong, but this year, God led us to step outside the church walls and “hit the streets” with the Gospel. After months of planning and preparation, FFC’s first outreach concert crusade called “Forever Free” was held in the ZCB Park in front of a large shopping mall, in Kowloon Bay. With a team of 75 people, consisting of volunteers from FFC, as well as, two missions teams from the USA and Switzerland, the event began with several hours of street evangelism. During this time, it began to lightly rain, but hours of prayer preceded this day, so we knew that God would take care of the weather. And He did, for just as the evangelism ended and the "Pre-Show" began, the rain completely stopped and the weather remained perfect throughout the rest of the evening.
FFC volunteers (in red t-shirts) handing out concert flyers and witnessing to passers-by. There were many people who attended the concert just because a flyer was placed in their hands, and many people who prayed with an FFC volunteer to receive Jesus, even before the concert began!
The Pre-Show was from 4-6pm and included a special African Drum Workshop led by FFC's percussion drum player, who happens to be Hong Kong's leading African drummer.

Throughout the Pre-Show excitment began to build, then the Concert finally began at 6pm. The FFC worship team kicked the night off with energetic and passionate praise and worship; this was followed with a powerful drama and message from Pastor Steve Fischer.
Left: Drama portraying Jesus' sacrifice for us. Right: Pastor Steve preaching the message of salvation.
Over 200 people attended, many from “off the street” seeing the lights, sound and energy of the event. Thousands were greeted with the music and message as "Forever Free" could be heard around the entire block, including the front doors of a large shopping mall. The FFC team had the privilege of leading at least 50 individuals to receive salvation and prayer during the event.

It was so exciting to see this event unfold. Not only did it add many souls to the Kingdom of God, but it also stirred up a passion in the FFC members to reach the lost.

The following day was Sunday and 15 people came to church because they had been introduced to FFC during the concert!  Some of those people joyfully told us that they had been praying to God for a church to go to! And others had just received Jesus during the concert and FFC was the first church they had ever attended in their life! The concert's effects have not ended, but it's ripples are still going out, touching people's hearts to go to church and discover more of God. We at FFC shall continue to help these "sheep without a shepherd" come into the sheepfold and be protected as they grow strong in the Lord.

This concert would not have been a success if it hadn't been for all the prayer and financial support that paved the way. Thank you so much partners! You're changing the world!

We hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Blessings from Hong Kong!
