UM Student-athletes Earn Conference Academic Honors

The Gulf South Conference recently announced its winter academic awards. The University of Montevallo placed 46 student-athletes on the academic honor roll, while also having three All-Academic Team selections. The Falcons placed the third most athletes on the honor roll out of the entire conference.

Inclusion on the GSC Academic Honor Roll requires an overall GPA of 3.0 or better. To land on the All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must be a starter or significant contributor, at least a sophomore and own a 3.20 or better GPA.

The three Falcons named to the All-Academic Team are women’s basketball player Shyan Flack along with Joe Leventry and Taylor Gonzales from track and field. Read more.
