Participate in Psychology Research
We are conducting a study to understand how we evaluate the pain of others. We are seeking healthy individuals who do not have chronic pain to participate, and participants will be compensated $20 for their time. Sign up here. For more information, contact Dr. Melissa Shepherd at 205-665-6447 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
We need individuals willing to serve as actors expressing different emotions. This is to develop an instrument to use in future research. We will only take about 30 minutes of your time and you will receive $10 for participating. Sign up here. For more information contact Dr. Elizabeth Richardson at 205-665-6446 or at email@example.com.
Have you been selected to represent the University in the National Survey of Student Engagement? Be on the lookout for an email in your forUM account. Understanding how involved you are with UM will help us improve our programs and services for you.

Forte Festival Announcement
The annual Forte Festival of Creativity will be on hiatus this spring due to the upcoming move of the COFA dean’s offices in mid-April and the Department of Theatre in early May to the new Center for the Arts. Continuing the festival in April this year is not feasible due to the confluence of packing, relocating offices and managing everything else on the academic and performance calendars in April. Nevertheless, we still have productions of Hairspray, the Pattin Piano Concert and a BFA Gallery show running in the Forte slot. We intend to revive Forte next academic year! Thanks for your understanding.
