Thanksgiving Food Drive Update
The African American Studies Club, M.A.D.E., the Hispanic Student Organization and the minority faculty and staff on campus collected more than 250 food items as part of their joint Thanksgiving Food Drive. Twelve families in need throughout the greater Shelby County area were fed with the donated items. A special thanks to the students in Dr. Sierra Turner’s SPN 201-001, SPN 201-002 and AAS 370-001 courses who donated all of the items and encouraged friends to donate.
Student Dietetic Association Survey Opportunity
On behalf of the Student Dietetic Association (SDA), we request your participation in a survey related to food insecurity among students at the University of Montevallo. The survey is part of the organization’s research project this year, and the results will inform future projects for the SDA. Your participation in this survey is completely voluntary and you may opt-out of any question in the survey. All of your responses will be kept confidential. They will only be used for statistical purposes and will be reported only in aggregated form. The survey will take about 10 minutes to complete.
To participate, please visit this link. If you complete the questionnaire, you may enter a drawing to win a $100 Amazon gift card. If you have any questions about this survey, or difficulty accessing the site or completing the survey, please contact Kelley DeVane Hart, Student Dietetic Association advisor. Thank you in advance for providing this important feedback.
