14th Annual Run for Research Winners

It was raining for the 14th Annual Run for Research on Nov. 7, but we had a few dedicated participants. The winner of the 1-mile run went to Katrina Morris. In the women’s division of the 5K, first place went to Kira Morris, second place was a tie between Katelyn Chadwick and Dr. Karli Morris and third place went to Dr. Emma Atwood.

In the men’s division of the 5K, first place went to Joshua Evans and second place went to Dr. Jody Landers. The winners for the departmental and student group contests for the most participants were the Department of Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics and the McNair Scholars.

A special thanks to Dr. Brett Noerager, Dr. Ruth Truss, the grounds staff in the Physical Plant, Marcelo Galafassi, Kaley Martin, Breanna Malone and Sgt. Joey Glass for all their support in making this year’s Run for Research go smoothly on a rainy day. A very big thank you to everyone who registered and participated. We hope to see you next year for the 15th Annual Run for Research.
