Crest of the Wave, Homecoming 2019, University of Montevallo

Crest of the Wave

It’s that time of year where alumni both near and far return home for annual Homecoming festivities. “Crest of the Wave” is the theme set for Homecoming 2019 to honor the Celebration of the Centennial College Night. This year, we are honoring the classes of 1959, 1969, 1979, 1989, 1999 and 2009 along with our beloved Alabama College Society, Young Alumni, Minority Alumni, Vintage Purples, Old Golds and other affinity groups. For students, Homecoming is also the culmination of the Purple and Gold competition of College Night.

Special Centennial events include:

  • Centennial Parade, Friday, 3:30 p.m. on Main St. The parade will begin at the corner of Main St. and Shelby St., travel to N. Boundary St. (the University Promenade) and end at Main Quad.
  • Presentation of the Centennial Time Capsule, Saturday, 11:30 a.m. at Palmer Hall
  • The commemorative book, “College Night: A Centennial Celebration” is available for purchase beginning Thursday at the College Night productions and at Homecoming registration on Saturday.

Please join us for the festivities this week.
