Students to Present in 20th Annual Undergraduate Research Day
On Wednesday, March 22, more than 50 undergraduate students will present their research findings from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in Harman Hall during Undergraduate Research Day 2017. Each year, high-achieving undergraduate students work with a faculty mentor to complete independent research or a similar creative project in their discipline.

After each presentation of their work, students will hold a brief Q&A.

Between 3:30 and 4:30 p.m., a panel of judges will recognize the three best oral presentations and three most outstanding poster presentations with cash prizes.

Women’s Golf Team Recently Ranked 18th Best in the Nation
The UM Fighting Falcons women’s golf team is ranked the 18th best women’s DII team in the country, according to Golfstat.

“This is a special team led by four seniors who have turned our program around,” said Coach Justin Pratt about the leadership on this season’s team. The Falcons have seen a lot of success this season and recorded top-five finishes, including two first place finishes, in six of their seven events.

Montevallo is aiming to match last year’s achievement of earning a bid to the NCAA South Regional Golf Tournament but has their sight set higher than their fifth place finish at the regional a year ago.
