The Return of the Noisy Offering
Sunday, November 8th
Your change (coins) can help bring change into the lives of many young girls in Guinea! Let's make lots of noise as we fill those buckets!

People would be willing to read the bible reading in our morning service.

Mid-Week Bible Study here at the church
Wednesday nights at 7 p.m.
"HOLINESS"
Don Jessome will be leading this time of interactive study in God's Word focusing on Holiness.
The study will meet in the church library. All are welcome to attend

THE PARVEZ FAMILY UPDATE: The family are getting more and more settled with each new day. The children are all set in their new school.

Pray for Pastor Dan and others who will come alongside the Parvez. There will be much to do in the first few weeks. Please continue to pray and consider how you might give financially. The Westburne Alliance Church is official sponsor of this family. You can give through your offering envelopes by writing 'Refugee Sponsorship' on the line marked 'SPECIAL'.

Salvation Army Food Barrel

Thank you for the many gifts of food that were given. May God bless the ministries of our brothers and sisters who serve at the Salvation Army. May the gifts of food be a blessing to those receiving them!

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD (OCC)--PACKING PARTY
Thank you to Mike and Cindy for coordinating the packing party.
Thank you to the many people who attended and helped to assemble the boxes.
There are several boxes that need to be completed...you get pick one of these boxes up at the church.
You can make a donation to cover the expense of shipping each box ($7 per box)
COLLECTION SUNDAY IS Sunday, November 15th.

Closing Words:

I read this morning that FEAR might be best defined as FALSE EXPECTATIONS ABOUT REALITY.
As I read the 23rd Psalm, I am reminded of the words "Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death". The reality is we don't know what is going to happen from one day to the next but there are many things that we can be confident of.
First and foremost, we do not walk alone. The Lord is our shepherd, our guide, our protector, our provider, our friend...don't let me stop you, add to your own list. The Psalm clearly draws our attention to know that not if trials come our way but when they do, draw near to our shepherd and find rest and peace.
Thank you for your continued prayers and words of encouragement. The journey that I am currently on as given me a fresh appreciation of how big the family of God is. Come to think of it, it is the journey that we are on--thanks for walking with me.
