Cyflwyniad i Ganghennau
Masnachu Elusennol

Ydy eich elusen chi’n teimlo’r esgid yn gwasgu? Nid y chi yw’r unig un. Mae elusennau o bob cwr o Gymru’n darparu gwasanaethau amhrisiadwy i bobl fregus a chymunedau dan anfantais, a hynny’n aml heb gael clod. Ond mae effaith caledi economaidd a blynyddoedd o gyni mewn gwariant cyhoeddus yn golygu fod llawer o elusennau Cymru’n wynebu colli staff, gorfod dogni gwasanaethau ac mewn ambell achos, cau’n llwyr.

Gall Busnes Cymdeithasol Cymru helpu. Rydym ni wedi gweithio gyda sawl elusen i’w helpu i arallgyfeirio’u sail ariannol, i gynyddu incwm ac i sicrhau eu dyfodol drwy sefydlu canghennau masnachi gan ddefnyddio strwythur menter gymdeithasol.

Bydd y digwyddiad rhad ac am ddim hwn yn rhoi trosolwg trylwyr o’r pwnc i fynychwyr, gan gynnwys:

  • Safbwynt strategol oddi wrth Busnes Cymdeithasol Cymru: cyflwyno gweledigaeth perthynas cangen fasnachu â nodau ac amcanion yr elusen; asesu a rheoli risg; a darparu manteision ychwanegol i gleientiaid yr elusen.
  • Materion ariannol ymarferol: esboniad o’r materion TAW, treth a chyfrifo oddi wrth arbenigwr yn y maes.
  • Adborth gan arweinwyr elusennau sydd wedi sefydlu canghennau masnachu yn llwyddiannus: y problemau a wynebwyd ganddynt, sut y cafodd y rhain eu datrys a’r manteision i’r elusen.
  • Gwybodaeth fanwl am Fusnes Cymdeithasol Cymru a’r gefnogaeth sydd ar gael i helpu elusennau i ddatblygu canghennau masnachu

Introduction to Charitable
Trading Arms

Is your charity feeling the pinch?  You are not alone.  Charities the length and breadth of Wales provide invaluable services to vulnerable people and disadvantaged communities, often as unsung heroes.  But the effect of economic hardship and years of public spending austerity means that many Welsh charities face reductions in staffing, the prospect of rationing services and in some cases closure.

Social Business Wales can help. We’ve worked with many charities to help them diversify their funding base, increase income and ensure their survival by setting up trading arms using a social enterprise structure.

This free event will provide attendees with a thorough overview of the topic including:

  • A strategic perspective from Social Business Wales: visioning the relationship of a trading arm to the charity’s aims and values; assessing and managing risk; and potential spin off benefits to the charity’s clients.
  • Practical financial issues: an explanation of the VAT, tax and accounting issues from a specialist in the field.
  • Feedback from charity leaders who have successfully established trading arms: the issues they faced, how these were resolved and the benefits to the charity.
  • An opportunity to hear from the Social Business Growth Fund: how to access funding for charitable trading arms.
  • Detailed information about Social Business Wales and the support available to help charities develop trading arms.
