Anniversary Trail, improving connectivity at Toorak Road
Off to the east of Yarra but extremely important for shared trails connectivity: VicRoads have a survey for four options for the Anniversary/Outer Circle Trail crossing of Toorak Road between Summerhill and Lithgow/Highfield Roads
Survey closes Friday 28 October - fill in the Anniversary/Outer Circle Trail survey here: https://engage.vic.gov.au/anniversary-trail
Of the options, Option 4, the bridge, is the only one that
- Provides a safe direct Anniversary Trail crossing without impacting traffic,
- Eliminates the dangerous crossing at Summerhill Road,
- Doesn't contribute to tram delays,
- Eliminates the very steep climb/decent through the car park north of Toorak Road,
- Removes conflict between bikes and businesses in the Hartwell shopping centre,
- Provides a safe route for local children to ride and walk to school.
