SANDY DANCKWERTS Advertising, Media & Events Co-ordinator
Greetings to you all, Members & Friends,
There was a festive and jovial spirit down at the Club on Friday night. We had fantastic music for the evening, and many thanks to all of you who came down and supported the Lucky Draw's and also the Club Members Draw as well. A bit of a nippy evening outside, but the vibe inside the Pub was good. PLEASE NOTE - You have to be present at the Club to win these prizes if your name is drawn!!
If there is anyone out there that would like to contribute towards our Lucky Draw prizes for Friday night and sponsor a prize please could you contact me. Our Friday evenings are festive and we do get lots of support from the Members and also the local community so any additional prizes would be great to add to the fun!!
I also advertise and promote your business as well in recognition of your contribution towards the prize evening, so it is well worth it to be a part of our Friday evening Fun!!

So much of fun in our Centenary Year with . . . Lots of Fun, Lots of Laughter & Lots of Living it up and creating memorable moments for another 100 years!!
It was a fabulous and busy, although very windy day down at the Club this Sunday the 9th of August. Amidst Live Music from The Sound Dogs & Ian Stewart there was a host of mouth-watering age-old favourites from the grill that Saffron Chefs had prepared for us and there seemed to be lots of hungry patrons on Sunday!! (It must have been the cold, windy weather!!) Monday was also a Public Holiday so I think everyone partied for longer too which was great. Thanks to all of you who supported the Club on Sunday and joined in on the fun.
It was also the Nomads Andrew Mentis Golf Day on Sunday so there was lots of added festive activity down at the Club especially towards late afternoon as well.
Winners of the Nomads Andrew Mentis Tournament were Bobby Naidoo and his team and Runner up Charles Hulley and Co. This tournament is an annual event that includes invited guests - played outside of the regular monthly games - and is specifically aimed at raising funds for a charity.
South Coast Hospice was the main beneficiary of the tournament this year, and Di van Dyk, CEO of the organisation was present for the prize giving and speeches, together with the Flower Foundation being the second recipient of the funds raised. Both of these organisations have been supported on several occasions before, and a large portion of the funds raised this year came from the Southern Natal Nomads. Well done to all of those who were involved in the organising of this event, as it did add an enormous amount of value into our Club and also into our long weekend activities.
See some social pics below. The others can be viewed on our Facebook page. Photos: Many thanks to Jenny Hulley for these fabulous pics!!
This Sunday we have Craig Jack Lewis performing for us again down at the Club. Craig has a massive repertoire of popular commercial standards that he mixes with a blend of wry comedy, so if you haven't seen him perform on stage yet, please visit us at the Club on Sunday and bring your friends and family to join in. He is a fantastic acoustic musician and popular amongst the audience!!
Don't forget to book your table for Sunday Lunch as well.

As I grow older, I pay less attention to what people say. I just watch what they do!!
