Invitation to the  South Coast Festival of Birds Symposium Friday 13th March 
and Climate Science Events - see details below

 The eight annual South Coast Festival of Birds & Biodiversity is due to touch down in Albany and Denmark in March 2020. Green Skills and Birdlife WA have coordinated this annual festival since 2013. 
We have a wonderful array of entertaining community events planned, which will showcase the beautiful bird fauna and biodiversity of the south coast, WA.

Key support for the Festival is coming from Lotterywest, UWA-Albany, City of Albany, Great Southern Development Commission,  Birdlife Western Australia, Denmark Birds Group, Gondwana Link, Green Skills, the Museum of the Great Southern, Albany Bird Group, Friends of the Western Ground Parrot, BirdLife Western Australia, Gillamii Centre, Bush Heritage Australia, Department of BCA, other groups and many volunteers & supporters.

The Festival of Birds Symposium is the Festival’s main event, held on Friday 13th March at UWA Albany and features high powered speakers including UWA’s Professor Steve Hopper, Dr Judy Fisher, Professor Dale Roberts, Dr Vicki Stokes and others. This main event will be held at UWA Albany (35 Stirling Terrace), 8.30 to 12.45pm, Friday 13th March.

OTHER FESTIVAL HIGHLIGHTS
Join us for a weekend Gondwana Link Bird and Eco Restoration Field Trip from Friday 13th March to Sunday 15th March. Visit eco restoration sites near Boxwood Hill, the Yongergnow Malleefowl Centre in Ongerup and more.

The 2020 Sustainable Community Festival in Albany is shaping up to be an absolutely amazing event. Green Skills are welcoming new supporter Sustain: Community Food Events Food for Thought Festival PLUS the City of Albany South West Street Fest in addition to the Rainbow Coast Neighbourhood Centre Harmony Day. West Australia's premier sustainable living event has evolved to include cultural diversity and sustainable economies, held in the Albany Town Square during Harmony week on Saturday 21st March 2020.  But wait…. there is more…@Sustain Aus Community Food Events Food For Thought Festival and The City of Albany with a fabulous Street Theater Festival will join us in 2020 to create the ultimate community based event that you wont want to miss.For more information watch the website:
