Denmark Community Garden gets new structures and artwork
The Denmark Community Garden coordinated by Green Skills in collaboration with the Denmark CRC, is more beautiful than ever. Artist and Horticulturalist Karlee Bertola has designed murals on the sides of the raised beds focusing on beneficial insects. Tessa Moncrieff has been painting designs on hoops and posts in the garden.
They have been supported by volunteers. This arts project has been funded by the Department of Communities.
Thanks to support from a community garden grant from the WA Department of Communities and support from the Denmark CRC, Green Skills has recently installed a shade house, hot house and Gazebo, Big Thanks to contractor Matt Egan, and volunteers including Don Hunt, Graham Mason, Greg Godfrey, Tom and Bev Sheard, and Gloria Glass.
Thanks also to John Maxwell, architect, the Denmark Mens Shed and Thorntons Mitre 10 for their support in this work.
