An illustrated talk by Dr. Connie Arzigian, archaeologist at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and Mississippi Valley Archaeology Center, will discuss how people lived in this area, used the local resources, and how their way of life changed over time.

Before Michael Crichton was famous as Michael Crichton, he penned a number of potboilers under the pseudonym John Lange, including EASY GO, a light-hearted archaeology heist novel that earns three trowels!

Nearly 300 people came out in sub-zero weather to hear Dr. John Hawks talk about his cutting edge, internationally renowned research on early human evolution. We hope to have him back in the future to hear updates on his research. You can follow Dr. Hawks’ work at his weblog at:
