You Partnership will Launch us into the Future!

Getting back in the groove!

It's my birthday month!!!!
My first month back has been about unpacking, getting life set up (Insurance, finding a church, figuring out how to and where to throw my trash away- remembering how the ovens, washers and dryers work here!).

But more importantly, it has been about getting together with all the people I have been only able to see online for 2 years! It's The RE-LAUNCH of the Amsterdam FireChoir, meetings about bookings for "A Christmas Carol" and how to get StageLife Back on the road! It has also been about finding a way forward for the Bridge and a more intentional season for The Bridge Artistic Network Facebook group holding our first ONE WEEK ART CHALLENGE, asking questions and encouraging creativity in the midst of living in this work-a-day world!
"A Midsummer's Gathering"

It's a Beginning!!!

What comes next?

Well that my friends is for next months newsletter! That and all the birthday shenanigans- but suffice to say, I see God opening doors and making a path. There is work to do, and I for one am excited!

Wondering what to get me for my birthday?

I need a car. I need more financial partners!

Transition Part 3...

Finding Peace in the Process!
Phillipians 4:4-9

Peace is not always easy to find is it? Our thoughts are powerful things.  The words we speak to ourselves can build us up or derail us.  We need to be careful.

This world already does everything it can to rob of us our Peace and Joy.  It doesn't need OUR Help!  I am so grateful that God's word addresses it. Not only does the book say- Yeah you are going to face hard hard times, and your peace of mind and joy will be threatened on  a daily (Brenda J's translation). It also shows us how we can hold onto to our peace in joy in the midst of the struggle.

The Apostle Paul tells us in the book of Phillipians
not to stress out about anything, instead we need to Pray about it all...bring it to God himself and let Him work it out.  And even more than that to be THANKFUL in the midst of the struggle!  WHAT? How ist possible?! We need to thankful for what we have, and what HE is in the midst of working out for us.  And trust me...HE IS WORKING IT OUT.  I wouldn't be in the Netherlands right now if He hadn't worked stuff out! Some days I have to remind myself to be grateful, to Thank God for it all...the good ,the bad and the ugly- cause HE is working it out.
Paul also shows us how to get to that grateful verse 8 and 9.

OK so the long and short of it- Peace and Joy don't just happen upon us.  They are a choice not circumstance driven.  In fact we can ALWAYS HAVE THEM NO MATTER OUR CIRCUMSTANCE.  It does not mean we deny the hardship of the moment...we just know IT IS A MOMENT.  AND GOD HAS US. THIS TOO SHALL PASS.

We humans tend to focus on the bad and let the good things go by the wayside. God's word instructs us to do the exact opposite.  So my friends, Peace and Joy await your presence.  How do you find them?
2. Be THANKFUL in the midst of the battle
3. Stop thinking about all of the horror shows going on in the world around you and perhaps in your daily life...and think on these things:
"what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise."
If we do this 3 step process DAILY...sometimes more then daily depending of the ferocity of the battle you are in....

"Then the God of peace will be with you."
So, I am faithfully launching with a grateful heart, with wonder and expectation!

We might not always know what God is up to...
But we can trust
It is Good!
