PTA MEMBERSHIP
Join the PTA! Pretzel Party for every class that gets 100% participation!

Did you know the PTA funds the school assemblies, purchases educational subscriptions, sponsors the class picnics, and makes annual donations to the schools? Not sure what it means to be a PTA member? 

By being a member you help fund these activities and demonstrate your support to our PTA and all of its volunteers. Membership is $12 and every class that has a 100% membership participation will receive a pretzel party. If no classes within a particular grade reach a 100%, the class per grade with the highest percentage of active PTA members wins the pretzel party. While there is no deadline to join the PTA;  the deadline to be eligible for the class pretzel party will be Friday, October 13, 2017.

SCHOOL STORE
School Store is open during the lunch period on certain days throughout the school year and sells school supplies at a great price.  

Any student using bills larger than $20.00 in denomination must have a note with permission from their parent or guardian or they will not be permitted to shop.  Also, please count out and label large amounts of change before sending it in with your student.

HALLOWEEN SKATING PARTY

Mark your calendar for Sunday, October 29, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and join the PTA at the Deptford Skating Center.

This event is open only to Harrison Township Families and Friends - it will be closed to the public. Tickets are $10 and include: skating admission, skate rental, fun zone and inflatables, slice of pizza and a drink

HELP WANTED AT THE HTS LIBRARY
Our school Library uses parent volunteers (and grandparents, aunts or uncles, etc.) every day to help the children check out and return books. No experience is necessary! You can help as little as one hour a week or as much as a full morning or afternoon. A Library (HTS) training session is scheduled for October 6 at 9:30am in the HTS Library. You do not need to attend to volunteer. Please contact Mrs. Malloy at mallyme@harrisontwp.k12.nj.us for more information or to volunteer.

HELP WANTED AT THE PVS LIBRARY MEDIA CENTER
The Media Center is a very busy place! Mrs. Lewin is looking for help in two areas - Organizers and Technical Assistants. Training in BOTH areas will be provided. Please contact Kathy Lewin, PVS Library Media Specialist for more information or to volunteer, at lewink@harrisontwp.k12.nj.us More information will also be coming home via backpack mail.

SAVE THE DATE
Breakfast with Santa Date: Saturday, December 2nd
Where: PVS Cafetorium
There will be two seating times, 8:30 am and 10:30 am.

Bring the family and have breakfast with Santa . It's great fun for everyone! Breakfast includes muffins and donuts , yogurt and fruit, pancakes and breakfast sausage, as well as coffee ,tea and juice. There will be activities and face painting for everyone in attendance. Don't forget your camera for your FREE picture with Santa.

Online registration for this event will begin November 6th . This event sells out every year.

PTA MEETINGS
During PTA meetings decisions are made and news is announced that can directly affect programs and events at Harrison Township Schools.  All meetings are open to the General Membership and are held in the Gymnasium at HTS and in the Cafetorium at PVS, unless noted otherwise.  The meetings generally begin at 7:00 p.m. and will last approximately 45 minutes.  We strongly encourage all members of the General Membership to attend these meetings.
