A Message From The President

I hope this finds everyone well and back into the swing of things. Fall is finally here and it’s time for Pumpkin Spice Everything! Our talented PTA Board had a great time planning the 2017-2018 school year and now we are getting things going with lots of Family Fun.

Thanks to ALL who came to our 1st meeting and to those who are volunteering to be Room Parents. We had a RECORD turnout with Jenn Poletti, Tracy Cook, Alexis Ofchinick and Jenna Schulze doing a fabulous job as Room Parent Coordinators to get everything organized! For next year, the coordinators have already come up with a better way to help you find your room parent partner at the meeting.

We are continuing to try new things and one of my favorites is to have morning PTA meetings for those who are unable to make it at night. Our 1st “Coffee with the PTA” will be on November 15th  at 10am so please join us for a hot drink, a sweet treat and great conversation!

We have a great year planned, so please keep reading to learn about Spirit Wear, Membership, Donations, The Halloween Skating Party and more. Thanks for all you do to make our School District great and I’ll see you soon.

Kind Regards,

Now that we're all back in the routine of a new school year, it's time to send in those Box Tops you've been collecting! The PTA was paid out over $2,500 for Box Tops last year, and we hope to double that number this year! The PTA will be sponsoring another Box Tops Contest this year, with an ice cream party awarded in the spring to one class each at both PVS and HTS with the highest Box Tops collection total!!
Please send clipped & unexpired Box Tops in to school bagged in counts of 50, labeled with your child's name, teacher's name, and the number of Box Tops on the outside of the bag/envelope, if possible. Pre-counting and sorting the Box Tops makes it so much easier for our volunteers when prepping the Box Tops to be sent in to the program for redemption.

Speaking of volunteers--if you are willing to assist with clipping & counting, please reach out to me via email, or stay tuned for volunteer opportunities to be posted on the Harrison PTA Facebook page. Thanks so much for your support with the Box Tops fundraiser!

Join the PTA!

Pretzel Party for every class that gets 100% participation!
Did you know the PTA funds the school assemblies, purchases educational subscriptions, sponsors the class picnics, and makes annual donations to the schools? Not sure what it means to be a PTA member?
By being a member you help fund these activities and demonstrate your support to our PTA and all of its volunteers. Membership is $12 and every class that has a 100% membership participation will receive a pretzel party.

If no classes within a particular grade reach a 100%, the class per grade with the highest percentage of active PTA members wins the pretzel party.
While there is no deadline to join the PTA; the deadline to be eligible for the class pretzel party will be Friday, October 13, 2017.

Visit the PTA membership page to sign up online.
Panthers Fall Fundraisers: 5k, Mums, Candy Grams
Thank you to everyone that participated in the Panthers’ fall fundraisers! The 5k, mums and candygram sales were a huge success! A special thank you to all of the sixth grade moms and students that volunteered at each of the events.
