Update to CLAHRC EoE's application process for the next round of funding 


The Collaboration for Leadership in Applied Health Research and Care East of England (CLAHRC EoE) Prioritisation Group has updated the funding application process, for projects starting April 2016:
  • June to August 2015: Partner organisations and research theme leads to develop proposals
  • September 1st 2015: Deadline for submitting to PPI Theme for review 
  • September 28th 2015: Deadline for submitting proposals to Prioritisation Group for review
  • During October to December 2015: Decisions will be made and theme leads informed
  • April 1st 2016: Projects to begin

Innovative Methods of Evaluating Public Engagement Workshop

This practically-oriented workshop will present state of the art interdisciplinary methods of evaluating engagement. It will provide the opportunity for input from leading interdisciplinary research methods experts on your project through open discussions and feedback sessions.

This Capacity Building Workshop is a chance to learn more about the opportunities CLAHRC EOE and the NIHR provide for increasing research capacity, including the CLAHRC Fellowship Programme and NIHR PhD Studentships.

It is aimed at all healthcare professionals and researchers from across the East of England region, looking to develop their research experience and start / build upon a health research career through completion of further training.

CLAHRC East of England Training and Career Development Funding “Boot Camp” - September 2015 (Date TBC)


The Boot Camp is for clinicians/researchers who are committed to a career in health care research to:
  • provide an overview of the options for career funding and learn from the experiences of research leaders in the CLAHRC
  • understand the process of NIHR review, selection and interview process to determine the key features of a successful application
  • get participants to work in small groups to develop and present their research ideas and present these to their peers and those with experience of securing NIHR funding
