My introduction to Patient & Public Involvement – PPI in the PROMISE qualitative project: A blog by Lorna Rouse

Lorna Rouse gives an outline about PROMISE, (PROactive Management of Integrated Services and Environments) which is a CLAHRC affiliated initiative within CPFT which aims to provide staff and service users with tools to support their journey towards eliminating reliance on force in mental health services. Lorna also talks about her first impressions of Patient and Pubic Involvement in PROMISE, finding a role within the project, meeting with the service user advisory group. Lorna also gives examples of lessons she has learnt from working with the advisory group, plans for the future of PROMISE and for herself.

King’s Improvement Science is recruiting a health economics postdoctoral fellow

King’s Improvement Science [KIS] are inviting applications a postdoctoral fellow with skills in health economics and advanced modelling. He or she will work on a number of different quality improvement and implementation projects in maternal care, diabetes and dentistry. Candidates can also propose a project, though this must be in line with the strategic priorities of King’s Health Partners.

Deadline for applications: 24 July 2016.

Applying for research funds from the NIHR

This set of two full-day interactive workshops looks at the most important aspects of putting together an application for research funding. Our work over these two days will be focused on the various funding streams run by the NIHR.
