Update to CLAHRC EoE's application process for the next round of funding - Remit and FAQs 


The Collaboration for Leadership in Applied Health Research and Care East of England (CLAHRC EoE) Prioritisation Group has further updated the funding information with information on the remit and an FAQ's document. 

Please see our website for this additional information and how to apply.

The deadlines for applying remain as the following:
  • June to August 2015: Partner organisations and research theme leads to develop proposals
  • September 1st 2015: Deadline for submitting to PPI Theme for review 
  • September 28th 2015: Deadline for submitting proposals to Prioritisation Group for review
  • During October to December 2015: Decisions will be made and theme leads informed
  • April 1st 2016: Projects to begin

Congratulations to Dr Alex Komashie for winning the Best Improvement Science award at the HRSN Symposium. 

Dr Alex Komashie - a CLAHRC EoE Research Associate in the Patient Safety Theme, won the Health Services Network (HSRN) Symposium (July, 2015) Best Improvement Science Award, following his presentation on 'An integrated model of patient and staff satisfaction using queuing theory'.

NSPCC's new report: Achieving emotional wellbeing for looked after children

This new report from the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC) provides recommendations and evidence for how the care system can be changed to prioritise and achieve good emotional wellbeing for all looked after children and care leavers.

This seminar has been organised by the Clinical Nursing Research Group (Department of Primary Care and Public Health, University of Cambridge), and will be presented by Dr Stephanie Tierney (Senior Research Fellow, University of Warwick). Dr Tierney is a health services researcher, with a particular interest in qualitative methods, and expertise in framework analysis.

A great opportunity for all researchers in the region looking to increase their understanding of and confidence in carrying out Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) in their research in a safe and supportive space.

The masterclass will cover all areas of involvement, but will focus on planning and preparing for PPI in research. It will include:
  • Setting the Scene: An introduction to PPI in Research
  • Case studies from PPI representatives and Researchers on their PPI in research experience 
  • Group discussions and reflections on the case studies
